March 3, 2009. Model 6

Wednesday, March 11th, 2009

Stylist name: Olesya Naumchick

Initial assessment: roots – 7N (about 1 inch); all over hair – 10N.

Desired result: to have the same light and cool color

Formula: 7N + DEMI; 1:1 – I’m applying on clean damp hair and tone, then wait for 10 minutes and wash off. I blow dry the hair and do highlights (formula: 10N (1 oz) + 3 scoops of powder + 20 vol. (1 oz)). The processing time is 30 minutes at room temperature and 20 more minutes under heat.

Result: the coloring process took too much time, but we got level 10 color, though it was not completely neutral (a little bit too warm). We couldn’t wait any longer. The quality of the hair was great, but the color of level 7 has washed off after the second time (and in two weeks it washed off on 50-60 %!)

March 3, 2009. Model 5

Wednesday, March 11th, 2009

Stylist name: Olesya Naumchick

Initial assessment: roots – level 5, all over the hair – levels 8,9 ; the ends are lighter and drier.

Desired result: even cool color.

Formula: “0” (1 oz) + 3 scoops of powder + 20 vol. – for the roots. After 30 min. I apply the same mixture and leave under heat for 20 more minutes. There was no need to apply the lightening mixture all over the hair. We washed the color off and tried to dye one strand with the mixture of: 8N (1 oz) + “0” (1 oz) + drabber (1/2) oz + DEMI. The result was too cool? And we mixed another formula (which we used to tone all the hair): 8N (1 oz) + “0” (1 oz) + DEMI + 1 scoop of the formula that had been created at first. The processing time was 10 minutes.

Result: a beautiful even cool color. But as it turned out later, it washed off (on 40 %) in a week and a half, and in two weeks – on 50 %. And this is what happened with all three blonds!

March 3, 2009. Model 4

Wednesday, March 11th, 2009

Stylist name: Olesya Naumchick

Initial assessment: 1 inch of level 6 on the roots, all over the hair – levels 8, 9, 10, the hair is damaged.

Desired result: an even cool color with lowlights.

Formula: 9N (2 oz) + 3 scoops of powder + 30 vol. – for the roots; 10N + DEMI – all over the hair; 7N + DEMI – for lowlights.

Result: after 20 min.: the roots are yellow, and the basic color of the hair and lowlights are of desired color.  Our actions: I started to lighten the roots! But there was no positive result. Maybe I should have toned them again with 9N/10N on DEMI?

March 3, 2009. Model 3

Wednesday, March 11th, 2009

Stylist name: Olesya Naumchick

Initial assessment: color-treated hair (level 7) with a golden shade.

Desired result: the color of the same level, but of a cool shade with spots of light.

Formula: 7N (1 2/3 oz) + VR (1/6 oz) + DEMI (2 oz) – I apply it all over the clean washed hair. Then 10N (1/2 oz) + 2 scoops of powder + 20 vol. (2/3 oz) – for strands, applied directly on color, using foil. Processing time was 25 min. at room temperature.

Result: the color is darker then it was expected, with a warm shade. We were not satisfied with the result.

March 3, 2009. Model 2

Wednesday, March 11th, 2009

Stylist name: Olesya Naumchick

Initial assessment: 1 inch of level 5, then color-treated hair with brown and violet shades. The ends are darker.

Desired result: an even color with spots of light

Formula: 4N (1 oz) + VR (1 oz) + DEMI (2 oz) – I apply all over the hair, 8N (1/2 oz) + 2 scoops of Energizing powder + 20 vol. (1 oz) – for spots of light, I apply it directly on the color (before washing the color off)

Result: 4 VR with spots of light (1, 5 levels lighter then the basic color). Everybody is satisfied with the result.
